~Music~

Lindsey loves all styles of music from showtunes and pop to classical and sacred music to various styles of chant from around the world. She has been a music teacher, performer and choral conductor for over 25 years and now loves to bring the Healing Arts to those nearing the end of their life. Moments making music with people in nursing homes, for bedside vigils, and for memorials and services are among the most meaningful in Lindsey’s life.

Lindsey has a lifetime of experience assisting individuals and congregations on their spiritual and healing journeys as organist, pianist, soloist and conductor. Contemplating death through music has been an important part of her life.

~Meditation and healing techniques~

Lindsey has studied Buddhist chant and meditation with Bhikkhuni Sudhamma of Charlotte Buddhist Vihara, Tara Brach, as well as numerous monks and groups around the Montreal area.

She has training in Shamanic techniques from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Peter Clark of Shaman’s Flame, Susan Grimaldi, Sandra Ingerman, Renee Baribeau, and Evelyn Rysdyk. Her drum for doula work was commissioned from Turtle Drums VT.

She has completed 1st and 2nd Degree Reiki training with Essential Arts and practiced with Vision of Light Church of Spiritualism and Healing. Lindsey has been deepening her own extensive healing journey and caring for her loved ones with Reiki.

~Leadership and Teaching~

For over 25 years Lindsey has taught private voice and piano lessons. She strives to bring compassion and joy to all that she makes music with. Through the years Lindsey has enjoyed facilitating workshops on Chant, Meditation, Hildegard of Bingen, Grief, and Compassion. Lindsey is passionate about bringing contemplative practices to group settings as well as individuals. She also weaves mindfulness and breathing techniques into her work with music students and workshop participants.

~Other interests~

Lindsey relishes working with her hands, whether it is weaving baskets, working in her garden, traditional fiber arts, cheese making or blacksmithing.  She, her delightful homeschooled son and husband love to spoil their two rescued Afghan hounds and a poodle (see pictures below). A lifelong lover of learning, Lindsey intends to learn how to weave coffins from willow to contribute to expanding green burial options.
