Cancellations: I ask that you give at least a 24 hr notice for private appointments.

 

Please note: End of life doulas are not medical professionals, and so I do not provide any type of medical care (including administering medications or medical advice). I can and will provide comfort care at the bedside if you choose (eg. moisturizing dry mouth, lips and skin) 

 

I am not a licensed mental health professional.  I encourage you to always seek appropriate professional support and care.  I offer complementary care that is never intended to interfere with your medical or mental health treatment.

 

My role is to listen to you with an open-heart and mind, advocate for your wishes and offer support to you and your loved ones.

Reiki, Sound and Meditation Sessions:

Reiki is an energy-based technique that aims to promote stress reduction and relaxation. It operates on the principle that the human body possesses an intrinsic ability to balance and heal itself, a process which can often be aided through achieving a state of deep relaxation. Please note that achieving balance in cases of long-standing imbalances may require multiple Reiki sessions to achieve the optimal level of relaxation for self-healing.

By opting for Reiki and Sound healing services, you acknowledge and understand the following:

• Holistic Approach: Wellness sessions are provided as a holistic approach to well-being. The use of Reiki and Sound healing services should be seen as a complement to, rather than a substitute for, traditional medical approaches. Sessions are not intended to replace physical or mental clinical diagnosis, treatment, cure, or professional therapy. If you require medical attention, always consult your physician or other qualified health provider for advice regarding your medical condition.

• I am a Non-Medical Practitioner:

  • I do not diagnose medical conditions.

  • I do not prescribe or administer any form of medical treatment or substances.

  • I do not provide any medical advice.

  • I do not perform medical treatment, nor do they interfere with the treatment prescribed by a medical professional.

• I am registered with the VT Office of Professional Regulation License No. 164.0001744. Complaints of misconduct can be filed with the VT Secretary of State’s Office of Professional Regulation.

• Potential Benefits and Risks: While sessions may provide potential benefits such as relaxation, stress reduction, and a sense of well-being, it's important to recognize that individual experiences and outcomes may vary.

• Confidentiality: Any personal information or discussions shared during the sessions will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Your privacy will be respected, and no information will be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

• Voluntary Participation: You affirm that your participation in sessions is entirely voluntary and that you have chosen to engage in this practice of your own free will. You retain the right to discontinue the session at any time if you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed.

• Informed Decision: You have been given the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the nature, purpose, potential benefits, and risks associated with Reiki and Sound sessions. With this knowledge, you have made an informed decision to participate in the session.

• Disclaimer of Liability: By booking an appointment you agree to this disclaimer, you assume full responsibility for your own health and well-being. You understand that my services are provided without any guarantees or warranties, and you release me, Lindsey Warren, from any liability arising from the use of my services. You acknowledge that any claims or causes of action, known or unknown, are waived.
   

In consideration of the above, you voluntarily agree to participate in sessions, assuming all risks associated with the practice and releasing us from any liability.

If you are experiencing a physical or psychological ailment, it is highly recommended that you seek the attention and advice of a licensed physician or qualified healthcare professional.
